Alejandro and his family have always given of their time to Soledad. Be it coaching, being eucharistic ministers in their church, doing free workshops for the community. Creating three mini food pantries in Soledad. Volunteering at festivals, school events and/or bringing resources to the commmunity through grants, scholarships, etc.
Alejandro always takes the time to listen, learn and hear from residents, neighbors, youth and friends in Soledad. Alejandro works hard to listen to other council members and their vision in order to work with them to best serve the entire City of Soledad. This is the best way to get feedback and to better understand the needs of Soledad.
Alejandro reviews the ideas shared with him, works with others, including the council to formulate plans and then looks to partner with agencies and individuals when need be in order to work with those needs. Developing deliverables such as the premier cinemas, Hartnell College and the redevelopment of parks have all happened because of this formulation of plans.
Alejandro has delivered the first wind turbine in Monterey County, the first recycled water project for public parks in Monterey County.
He has also delivered on redeveloping three parks in Soledad, along with bringing forth a new park that will include an all-inclusive playground, dog park, skate park, water pads, ampitheatre and picnic area. Alejandro and his wife Erica and the previous council delivered on Hartnell in Soledad and finally he and the previous council delivered on the movie theatre.
